Volunteers are an essential part of the Heritage Glass Museum. As a volunteer, you will learn about South Jersey’s history, and our unique glassmaking tradition, and you will interact with our creative and supportive community of artists, collectors, educators, students, and visitors. Each position involves a commitment of a few hours per week. During Covid, our volunteers can help the Museum while also maintaining a physical distance.

We are seeking volunteers for the following positions:

Museum Docent (Guide and Caretaker)

These volunteer positions involve working in the Museum during scheduled hours greeting visitors, leading short tours, answering questions, general care of the gallery space, and assisting with the gift shop.

Graphic Designer / Media Designer & Social Media Manager

This volunteer position involves designing print, web, and video media for both educational projects and Museum promotions. This position will also support our social media engagement. Experience with design software, web design, and social media is required.

Museum Educator

This volunteer position(s) will work with a team to create and support an educational program for the Museum. This includes collaborating with K-12 and college teachers, developing lesson plans, leading group tours, and assisting at events. Experience in education, teaching, and technology is preferred.
